Global network

The Global Network of the International Social Service is composed of a General Secretariat based in Geneva and a network of members based in more than 120 countries.

The ISS General Secretariat has been based in Geneva, Switzerland, since 1924. It is a legal entity recognised under Swiss law.

The ISS General Secretariat is in charge of the following collective tasks for the network:

Its Secretary General (aka CEO) is currently Mr. Jean Ayoub, a senior executive in International and Humanitarian Affairs with more than 35 years of experience in development, emergency management, people and program management.

The ISS network

The ISS network is composed of members, including members ad interim (a.i.), in more than 120 countries and a General Secretariat. Members and members a.i. are either not-for-profit organisations, legally independent or governmental entities, providing psychosocial and legal assistance to families and children separated by borders. ISS members and members a.i. commit to respect the ISS vision and mission, methodology, and working principles.Members a.i. have a temporary status that allows them to discover the benefits of being part of a global network and provide cross-border social services in their country.
