Siblings Substitute-family Matching Child-interest |
Free text | In this study, the authors develop the issue of placement of sibling groups of children in substitute homes. For the study 72 placements where followed for a year and a number of situations where taken into consideration to analyse the final outcomes of placements which, for three quarters of them, where considered to have been positive. Because of the variety of situations in which one finds sibling groups and their interaction with each other, it is difficult to determine, in general, what is the best interest of the children in a placement situation, and the conclusion is that a successful placement still depends on an individual assessment. |
