Free text From the Autumn 1996 Newsletter of the Adoption Studies Institute - report on research on the effects of open adoption on the members of the adoption ' triad '. The conclusion seems to be that, on the whole, a certain amount of information did not seem to do any harm to any of those involved, and could even help, particularly when adoptees reach adolescence. The main finding seems to be that different approaches to openness seem to fit different groups, with no simple or quick solution to this issue.
