Free text | Study funded by the Department of Health about single-parent adoption and how it can work for both adopter and adoptee. In the conclusion, the author lists among the points that have emerged from the study the advantages single-person adoption has from the "degree of commitment and skill, gained from life experiences including time spent in employment" and when a child needs a one-to-one relationship. It is suggested that these adopters be chosen for their commitment and be considered for all types of adoptions and not only for children with special needs |
