She takes into account legislation, abandonment in Belgium (before and after birth), the evolution of intercountry adoption and the reasons why prospective adoptive parents decide to look outside the country for their child. She reminds us that, first of all, adoption creates new links in the genealogies, and "symbolically participates in the renaissance and continuity of life". |
