This guidance should be used in conjunction with the Practice Guidelines and other documents in the Contact Planning and Information Pack, and other procedures in the Oxfordshire Assessment and Planning Pack. For the author, contact includes every methods of maintaining links with members of the birth family and other significant people, for a child or young person. Contact includes visits, overnight stays, telephone calls, letters, exchange of information and photographs and indirect links through third parties. This manual should help social workers on the appropriate pattern of contact for each child. |
