Free text This publication is the result of a study that assessed the existing child-care services (adoption, foster care, guardianship, community-based responses and their structure) in Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia and Thailand. This project also assessed the situation of orphanages and residential centres, for the identification of effective and useful care and support intervention for children, giving recommendations for a sustanaible and functional models of alternative care by focusing on community structures.
