| Free text | This bilingual document (English and Chinese) is a report of the Child ambassador's scheme during the year 2002/2003. This project has been initiated in 2000 by Against Child Abuse, the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF and the Hong Kong Committee on Children's Rights to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the UNCRC coming into effect. The organizing Committee and 20 Child Ambassadors joined hands to arouse public awareness on the UNCRC and promote children's rights in Hong Kong. Their main activity has been to organise the first Children's Council in Hong Kong. 60 Child Councilors expressed, discussed, moved and passed five child-related motions during the two-day Council Meetings on 15th and 22nd of March 2003 for HKSAR Government's consideration. |
