Free text | This book was produced in conjunction with the Benevolent Society / Post Adoption Resource Centre. In putting together the stories that make up this book, the editors wanted to give a group of Australian transracially adopted adults an opportunity to talk about their experience as adoptees. The presentation of these testimonies, where each person gives background information on how their adoption came to be, the relationship they have with the members of their adoptive families, the information they have on their birth families, their own sense of identity, and feelings about being adopted, is aimed at evaluating the impact of transracial adoption, domestic or intercountry. |
