The Take PART Project is a federally funded Adoption Opportunities Grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services. It was awarded to the Kennedy Krieger Institute Family Center which is working jointly with Baltimore City Department of Social Services Adoption Program providing respite services for special needs children in adoptive placements. The Take PART Newsletter (Newsletter for Adoptive Parents and Respite Providers) publishes articles related to adoption support. Vol 15, Dec 1999 - Jan 2000 issue contains a listing of support services for adoptive families nationally and locally, with a calendar of workshops and other events, as well as a bibliography of books on adoption. |
