Free text | Three booklets produced by the Adoption Board (Central Authority) to inform prospective adoptive parents on the process of assessment for an intercountry adoption based on the National Standardised Framework developed in 1999. 1- Understanding the Assessment Process: information on who caries out the assessment and why, as well an outline of the different stages in the assessment; 2- Information Booklet on the Intercountry Adoption Process for Prospective Adoptive Parents: it includes eligibility criteria, things to consider before applying for adoption, time frames and financial aspects of the procedure, terminology list, contact addresses for information, list of recognised countries where plenary adoption is accepted; 3- After the Declaration-The Next Steps for Intercountry Adopters: booklet prepared for applicants with a declaration of eligibility and suitability from the Adoption Board containing information on the process from the choice of a country of origin through to the granting of the adoption orders |
