Free text Evidence from research shows that children who are looked after away from home often have increased health needs which may have come from such situations as; living in families affected by drugs, acohol or domestic violence; special needs or disability; experience of trauma, abuse and/or neglect; coming from highly mobile families. They may also have had poorer access to health services. This document is intended to set out a framework for appropriate health care to be delivered by social services to these children.
