| Free text | Inspired on the various training programmes for foster and substitute carers that took place in the recent past in the United Kingdom, the Social Services of the Comunidad Autónoma de Castilla-León adapted a translation of the material contained in "The Challenge of Foster Care", programme elaborated by the National Foster Care Association. Four books form part of the training material: 1 -Manual for co-ordinators - presenting the programme and guiding through the different stages; 2- Stories representing 9 different placement cases; 3- "Who am I ?" - like a story book, this can be used to provide the child information about his particular situation on arrival in a foster home; 4- Conflictive situations- ten drawings representing illustrations of problematical situations a carer can encounter. |
