Free text This study scrutinizes the results of intercountry adoption in Quebec from 1985 to 2002. It shows that on average, adopted children have no more difficulty than others in developing either a strong attachment or more problems at school. If in general they display more behavioural problems than native Quebec children, some of them turn out better than the latter. The study is based on a sample of 1333 children born in ten different countries or regions. It is available in French on the website of the Quebec Central Authority (www.adoption.gouv.qc.ca). It does also exist in English.
