Free text | Description of the first phase of this longitudinal study on long-term foster placements which follows a group of children under the age of 12, and gives " a detailed account of their histories, the birth families, the foster families and the social work practice and planning that led to (their) placement". Since long-term foster care has not been the object of many studies, this study presents aspects of this chosen option for children needing permanent substitute care that have not been assessed before, taking into consideration the points of view of birth parents and other birth relatives, foster parents and the children |
