| Free text | The COPES (Centre d'Ouverture Psychologique et Sociale) is a training, teaching and research centre concerned with psychological problems of the child in difficult family circumstances. Among subjects dealt with by this Centre are: various forms of affiliation, adoption, medically-assisted parenting, family placement, etc. This report (in three parts) concerns a study of the procedures for psychological assessment of prospective adoptive parents and couples awaiting some form of medically assisted fertility treatment. Annexes to this report include several articles on medically assisted fertility treatments and adoption - among these: L'adoption, by Michel Soulé and Janine Noël, from the Nouveau Traité de Psychiatrie de l'Enfant et l'Adolescent, 1995. |
