Free text The report covers the period from April 2001 to March 2004 and describes the situation of child soldiers in the world. After a general introduction, it gives for each country concrete data such as the population, the government armed forces, the compulsory recruitement age, the voluntary recruitment age, the voting age, if it has ratified the optional protocol and which other treaties it has ratified. It gives then the context of the country related to army in general and child soldiers in particuliar, its legislation, its practices and its developments. Some country also have particuliar section dedicated to recruitment, disarmement, armed political group or to other subjects.
