Free text | This issue of Canada's Children is presented by the Centre of Excellence for Child Welfare (CECW) and highlights information about research activities of the Centre and other Canadian Researchers. Among the articles included in the issue, one gives detailed information about evaluations of Family Conferencing and Circles (FCC) in the Mi'kmaq community in Nova Scotia. FCC is a decision-making process where the wider family group, working in partnership with agencies and programs, makes plans and reaches decisions using the resources, knowledge, and strengths of the family and its networks and also the expertise of service providers who are involved with the family. Another article presents the participatory research of the Tri-CAS Treatment Foster Care Program. |
