Free text | ISS/IRC Brochure/Cahier/Cuaderno No 1 - This document was produced by the International Resource Centre on the Protection of Children in Adoption of the International Social Service (IRC/ISS) under the light of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child of 1989 and the Hague Convention of 29 May 1993 on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption. It aims to define the ethical framework to be observed in national and intercountry adoptions and give guidelines for practice that respect these principles elaborated from the reflection and exchanges of many professional the world-over.
