Free text | Second edition of this book on transracial adoption in the USA , bringing together in one volume a 12-year study in this subject which began in 1972. It contains a new preface and concluding chapter by the authors including data on all four phases of the study. The third book was originally published by Praeger Publishers, One Madison Ave, New York NY, 10010 USA). These studies have focused mostly on parental attitudes toward the adoptions. The authors state that the fourth study places the emphasis on the now adult adoptive children in these families "...to assess how their family situation affected their social and racial identity, their racial attitudes, and their sense of awareness about racial issues". |
