Free text | In this publication it is showed how the receiving countries have responsability regarding intercountry adoption. It aims to show also the existence of disrespect regarding the interests of the child with the existence of policies responding to demands of adopting couples, putting pressure on the countries of origin in order to obtain a children. It is also remarked the disrespect of the provisions of the Hague Convention on intercountry adoption. This publication was made through a comparative study in six European receiving countries: Germany, Spain, France, Italy and Switerzland. It is claimed by the authors that the European Union should put best practice in place, within its own members as with third countries. This publication it is also available in french. |
