Free text | The author of this article refers to the highly publicised and discussed case of the "Internet twins" - American twin girls adopted through the Internet by a British couple under less-than-ethical circumstances. She blames the current increase in such cases to the difficulties that prospective adoptive parents find in the whole process of assessment for a domestic adoption in the UK, while many children wait for permanent homes. |
